Maple Cream Cheese Sausage Puffs
Recipe Ingredients:
| 1 | pkg | maple pork sausage |
| 1 | cup | finely chopped apple |
| 3 | oz | soft cream cheese |
| salt & black pepper to taste | ||
| 2 | tubes refrigerated crescent rolls |
Recipe Instructions:
| 1. | Brown sausage in a dry skillet over a low to medium heat. When sausage starts to brown, add chopped apple. Stir fry until sausage is thoroughly browned. Season with salt and pepper. Drain excess juice. |
| 2. | Transfer sausage mixture to a bowl. Add cream cheese to the warm sausage mixture and mix well. Separate crescent rolls into triangles and place 1 Tbl of filling on wide edge of triangle. Roll wide edge of dough towards the point. Fold edges of dough over so that filling is enclosed. |
| 3. | Bake at 375F for 11 to 13 miinutes or until golden. Makes 32 puffs. |
