Cider-Braised Pork Chops
Recipe Ingredients:
| 4 | center-cut pork chops, cut 3/4 inch thick | |
| 2 | tsp | vegetable oil |
| 1 | cup | cider or apple juice |
| 2 | medium | cooking apples, cored & cut into wedges |
| 1 | medium | onion, cut into thin wedges |
| 1/4 | tsp | crumbled sage |
Recipe Instructions:
| 1. | Trim fat from chops, if necessary. Season chops with salt and pepper. In large skillet brown chops in oil, about 4 to 5 minutes per side. Spoon off fat. |
| 2. | Add cider, apples, onion, and sage. Cover and simmer 25 minutes, or until chops are tender. |
| 3. | Transfer chops and apple mixture to serving platter. Simmer pan juices until slightly thickened, about 3 to 5 minutes. Spoon over chops and apples. |
