Cowboy Oatmeal Cookies
Recipe Ingredients:
| 1 | cup | Crisco |
| 3/4 | cup | brown sugar |
| 3/4 | cup | white sugar |
| 1 1/2 | cup | flour |
| 1 | tsp | salt |
| 1 | tsp | baking soda |
| 1 | tsp | vanilla extract |
| 2 | cup | quick oatmeal |
| 2 | eggs | |
| 1 | pkg | butterscotch chips (or caramel) |
| 1 | cup | chopped nuts |
Recipe Instructions:
| 1. | Cream Crisco and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla and beat well. |
| 2. | Sift together flour, salt, and soda; add to mixture. Add oatmeal (dough will be very stiff), butterscotch chips and nuts. |
| 3. | Drop spoonfuls on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350F for 12 minutes or until brown. Cool slightly and remove from pan. Makes 3 dozen. |
