Gingerbread Cookies
Recipe Ingredients:
| 1 | cup | butter, softened |
| 1 1/2 | cup | white sugar |
| 1 | egg | |
| 1 1/2 | Tbsp | grated orange peel |
| 2 | Tbsp | dark corn syrup |
| 3 | cup | all purpose flour |
| 2 | tsp | baking soda |
| 2 | tsp | ground cinnamon |
| 1 | tsp | ground ginger |
| 1/2 | tsp | ground cloves |
| 1/2 | tsp | salt |
Recipe Instructions:
| 1. | Cream the butter and sugar together. Add the egg and mix well. Mix in the grated orange peel and dark corn syrup. Add the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger, ground cloves and salt, mixing until well combined. Chill dough overnight. |
| 2. | Preheat oven to 375F. Grease cookie sheets. Roll dough out to 1/4 inch thick and cut into desired shapes. |
| 3. | Place cookies 1 inch apart on prepared cookie sheet. Bake at 375F for 10-12 min. Makes 3-5 dozen. |
