Plum Cake
Recipe Ingredients:
| 2 | cup | self rising flour, unsifted |
| 2 | cup | sugar |
| 1 | cup | cooking oil |
| 3 | eggs | |
| 1 | tsp | cinnamon |
| 1 | tsp | cloves |
| 2 | jar | strained plums (baby food) |
| 1/2 | to 1 cup chopped nuts | |
| 2 | Tbsp | margarine |
| 1 | Tbsp | water |
| grated rind and juice of one lemon |
Recipe Instructions:
| 1. | Mix first 7 ingredients in one bowl - Do not use mixer! Bake in greased, floured tube pan for 1 hour at 350F. |
| 2. | Optional Glaze: Melt butter in saucepan, add sugar, water, and lemon juice. Cook until sugar is dissolved. Spoon on warm cake. |
