Chocolate Chip Meltaways
Recipe Ingredients:
| 1 | cup | butter or Oleo, softened |
| 1 | cup | vegetable oil |
| 1 | cup | sugar |
| 1 | cup | confectioners sugar, sifted |
| 2 | eggs | |
| 4 | cup | flour |
| 1 | tsp | baking soda |
| 1 | tsp | cream of tartar |
| 1 | tsp | salt |
| 1 | tsp | vanilla |
| 1 | pkg | (12oz) semi-sweet chocolate chips |
| additional sugar |
Recipe Instructions:
| 1. | Combine first five ingredients in a large bowl. Beat until smooth. |
| 2. | Combine flour, soda, cream of tarter, and salt. Add to butter mixture. Beat until smooth. Stir in vanilla and chocolate chips. |
| 3. | Shape mixture into 1" balls. Roll in granulated sugar. Put 2" apart on ungreased cookie sheets and bake at 395F for 10-12 minutes. Cool. Can wrap well and freeze. Makes 7-8 dozen. |
