Double Chocolate Delights
Recipe Ingredients:
| 2 | cup | flour |
| 1/3 | cup | unsweetened cocoa powder |
| 1/2 | cup | shortening |
| 1 | cup | packed brown sugar |
| 1/2 | cup | butter |
| 1/2 | cup | granulated sugar |
| 2 | eggs | |
| 1 | tsp | vanilla |
| 1/2 | tsp | baking soda |
| 1 | pkg | (12oz) semi-sweet chocolate chips |
Recipe Instructions:
| 1. | In a large mixing bowl beat the shortening and butter with an electric mixer on medium to high speed for 30 seconds. Add the brown sugar, granulated sugar and baking soda. Beat until fluffy. |
| 2. | Add eggs and vanilla, beat until combined. Beat or stir in flour and cocoa. Stir in chocolate chips. Use the dough immediately or cover and chill for up to 24 hours. |
| 3. | Drop slightly rounded tablespoonfuls of cookie dough 2 inches apart onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375F for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly browned. Remove the cookies and cool on a wire rack. Makes about 48 cookies. |
