Elizabeth's Sugar Cookies
Recipe Ingredients:
| 1 1/2 | cup | confectioners sugar |
| 1 | cup | butter or margarine |
| 1 | egg | |
| 1 | tsp | vanilla extract |
| 2 1/2 | cup | all purpose flour |
| 1 | tsp | baking soda |
| 1 | tsp | cream of tartar |
Recipe Instructions:
| 1. | Mix sugar and butter. Add the egg and vanilla mixing thoroughly. |
| 2. | In a separate bowl, mix together dry ingredients. Blend into butter mixture. Refrigerate dough 2 to 3 hours. |
| 3. | Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Divide dough in half and roll 3/16 inch thick on floured surface. Cut dough with cookie cutter and sprinkle with sugar. |
| 4. | Place on lightly greased cookie sheet and bake 7 to 8 minutes or until delicately golden. |
