Gingerbread Baby
Recipe Ingredients:
| 3 | cup | flour |
| 1/4 | tsp | salt |
| 1 | tsp | baking soda |
| 1 | Tbsp | ginger |
| 1 | tsp | cinnamon |
| 1/4 | tsp | ground cloves |
| 1/4 | tsp | ground nutmeg |
| 12 | Tbsp | unsalted butter (1-1/2 sticks) |
| 3/4 | cup | brown sugar |
| 1 | egg | |
| 1/2 | cup | molasses |
| 1 | Tbsp | vanilla |
Recipe Instructions:
| 1. | Preheat oven to 375F. In a large bowl, sift and mix together the flour, salt, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg. |
| 2. | In another bowl, combine the butter, brown sugar and egg. Stir the dry ingredients into the creamed mixture, then add the molasses and vanilla. |
| 3. | Let the dough rest at least 2 hours. Roll dough 1/4 inch thick and cut with a cutter. Bake 7 to 10 minutes on a greased cookie sheet. Makes 2 dozen. |
