Strawberry Pie
Recipe Ingredients:
| 1 | baked pie shell (large) | |
| 1 | qt | fresh strawberries (1 pint will do) |
| 1 | cup | sugar |
| 1 | cup | cold water |
| whipped cream or topping | ||
| few drops red food coloring | ||
| 3 | Tbsp | strawberry gelatin |
| 3 | Tbsp | cornstarch |
Recipe Instructions:
| 1. | Wash and stem berries. Reserve a few of the prettiest berries for garnish. Slice other berries once or twice depending on size. Arrange berries in pastry shell (when it's cool). |
| 2. | Mix corn starch with a little water until smooth. Add to remaining water and sugar, cook stirring constantly until clear. Add gelatin and a few drops of red food coloring. |
| 3. | When cool, pour over berries and chill in refrigerator. When congealed, cover with whipped topping and garnish. |
